Powder Coating and Rust Proofing Method

After the metal structure as been prepared, the product is sandblasted. After the sandblasting, a spraying method of phosphate is applied onto the product, instead of immersion. We feel by spraying the product, this method of phosphate wash will do a better job of eliminating any foreign materials such as mill scale, welding slag, filings, oils, etc.

After the phosphate wash, the product is baked dry, then powder coated with a zinc-based powder coating, which effectively rust-proofs the product. We then allow the zinc coating to cool, and finally finish the product with a final coat of the colored powder coating.
